AN ENTOMOLOGIST WORKING WITH FUNGI
Besides insects, fungi are also very important to me. 🍄 .
I did my Ph.D. in Brazil with insect-fungi interactions, studying the species of beetles that live in bracket fungi. I still develop intense work with them here in Australia.
Field trips, collections, photographs, descriptions, rearing, and identification, are some of the activities involved in my fungi-beetle projects.
I am a member of the Queensland Mycological Society, where I help with the ID of insects on fungi, but also promoting our group and the importance of fungi for the environment. 😊
Mushrooms and other fungi are very diverse and charming. They have a special place in our shop! Have you seen our precious collection of fungi accessories and Jewellery? 😉
