These earrings represent the most common species of Australian Leaf Insect from the Wet Tropics of Queensland, Phyllium monteithi, that was named after my friend Dr. Geoff Monteith, former curator of insects of QLD Museum.
These stunning Monteith's Leaf Insect Dangles earrings were proudly handmade and designed in Australia by Mox & Co, exclusively for Bugs & Beads. They are made with acrylic and stainless steel findings. The ear studs are stainless steel, so they are great for people with nickel or other base metal allergies/sensitivities.
